It's like seeing an old friend , in this case - a fish! Thanks for sharing. And I've relinked the post back to AQ
Hi,
Just want to share the joy of Apistogramma Trifasciata.
We bought our 1st young 1st pair of from Green Chapter in June 2014.
They kept in 45x24x30cm planted tank, Borneowild plant soil, external filter - eheim ecco pro 130 with reduced flow rate.
1st batch babies on 09 Aug 2014, sadly due to my inexperience only 15 survive.
Below is the video taken on the 1st spawn.

These 15 babies are doing well and below are some video of them growing up to young adults.
I have also increased the number of tanks at home and now using ADA Aqua Soil - Amazonia.

While the fries are growing up, their mother spawn a couple of time and here is another clearer video of her and fries.

This year Mar 2015, the 1st batch of baby females spawned.

I have recently comm the 1st batch babies with their parent in a 90x45x45cm tank while making space for the 2nd back fries (using both the 45x24x30cm & 60x30x36cm).
That's all for now and will continue to share more soon.

Nice to get to know 2 nice gentlemen from AQ who visited me recently.
Just to share on how we handle the fries at home.
We normally waited for fries to swim out of their caves (in my case, the pockets of the Unzan Stones, covered with stones tied with moss).
Once we spotted them, we will siphon all of them out using the Daiso $2 small siphon pump.
These fries will be transferred and kept in the Sudo Starpet External Breeding Box which draws the water from the main tank.
This way, we minimized the risk as the fries will share the same water parameter.
We give these fries some lose moss for they can rest and hide.
The above is a video of these happy swimming fries in the breeding box.
We feed these fries with BBS and watch them to grow bigger before we transfer them to 30cm tank.
