    Hi,

My first post! This tank is 6 months old. Almost complete but still got some bare patches on
the right. The mc is taking a looong time to grow. This hobby is also only 6 months old.
    Any comments are welcome!

Your MC like spreading so well. Mine also 4 mths + but not even half as much. I have no Co2. But should at least spread alittle right. Is like not growing or spreading. Any tips?

Co2 is one of the key things needed if you want more or faster plant growth. So without it, you have to bear with the slower growth rate then.

Ya, a plant tank needs a goodly supply of CO2. Without it, the plants will be just mediocre.
But for fishes tanks, it's not necessary to have supplemental CO2, as it's better to have more vital oxygen than CO2.
LIFE IS UNBEARABLE WITHOUT A FISH TANK!!!

Do note that on the left, it has also Riccia and Hair grass so the lawn is not completely MC.

I already have issues of slow growth of MC with Co2. I think it can difficult to for you to see it spreading. If you can have
Co2 in the equation it is easier to solve plant growth issues. For the first 2 months, my MC took a long time to grow properly(creep sideways),
instead, it was growing upwards. I change basically change 3 things to make the MC to plod along:
    1) Move light to the middle
    2) Increase circulation
    3) Change the position of ingress pipe

    YMMV. Good luck!

Temperature is around 28 degrees. No chiller. Tank is placed cool, semi-dark
    area of the house.

This is the original scape about 6 months.
    beginning.jpg

Everyone wants a nice looking lawn but strangely during that time
I was busy learning water chemistry, fish biology, scaping technqiues
and algae fighting. What I mean, is there are various categories in a
planted tank to amuse ourselves. So maybe when we do all the rest,
the lawn will gradually fill up.

    A watched pot never boils.

Nice tank setup. Hopefully I can build that kind of tank setup too. My MC grow very very slow.
