    Dear all,

My office is keeping a arowana. However not too long ago it got cloudy eye on one of its eye. Just when it was about to recover, it turn to red.

Anyone have any advice to cure it?

    Thanks!

hmm...if it's from cloudy eye, Melafix should be able to take care of it. If it's bacteria infection then pimafix should help. If it's not any of the 2, then we need more details to give a better diagnosis.

Hope your fish gets well soon.

    Cheers,
I have dwarf cichlids in my tanks! Do you?

this site might not be suitable to discuss the arowana issue, u can try www.arowanaclub.com or www.arofanatics.com for more assistance.

first of all, how did you cure his clouded eyes issue? medicine added?
normally, for clouded eyes issue it more likely to be an water issue...
for start, u might need to check your ph and if possible, add 0.3g salt and increase the temp 30C...

I can't give you specific advice, but do be warned that the Arowana's liver is quite primitive and may not process medications well. I have been adviced not to overdose medication in arowana tanks.

Try to get medications specifically packaged for Arowanas. The medication is probably the same as the standard one, but it's dosing instructions or content may be adjusted to suit the Arowana.

As mentioned above, you can get good arowana specific advice at Arofanatics.com.
Vincent - AQ is for everyone, but not for 'u' and 'mi'.
Why use punctuation? See what a difference it makes:
A woman, without her man, is nothing.
A woman: without her, man is nothing.
