I'm using 2x 30watt flood light for 2ft tank with around 56cm height. My scape is no good but the light seems to be able to grow plants well.. I'm using wire mesh from daiso to put on top of tank...

the light makes my MC crawl till very thick.. as I don't really take care or add fert for my tank... I am faced with hair algea issues but MC managed to cover them up..

I just place the light on top of my 1 feet tank and it is a good fit actually.

I do custom-made LED lamps as a hobby so if you're interested, can just drop me a msg at 98157157. Here's something that I did for my own tank recently.. It's a 24W led lamp for a 2ft tank. In case you're thinking that 24W is not strong enough, it's strong enough to induce algae bloom in my tank when it's turned on for 10 hours a day. With a separate-channel of blue leds for moonlight. The lamp that's above the water is about 1cm thick only.

Thanks bro fireblade for the help and idea.. that was very good way.. look so awesome..

Thanks for the compliments, hope I'm not hijacking this thread.I use 3528 LEDs but am moving over to 5050 LEDs for more intensity. It's a L-shaped stand attached to the back of the tank via plastic suckers.
You're welcome Bro Apistoinka...
Thanks for the reply bro Simoncxy.. becareful when you use plastic suckers.. they might be weaker over time and will have a risk of the whole light drop into the water.
Im also worry about the plastic sucker...

my tank is against the wall so the wall prevents it from dropping into the tank. For those that I make for others, it comes with a clamp to clamp onto the edge of the water.. Safer..![]()
Putting a 24w for 10 hours is not a good indicator that the lights are powerful enough. The recommended timing is about 7 to 8 hours a day. You are giving them light for too long.
If you want to know if it has enough intensity, try growing glosso or hc and see if it carpets
