Greetings fellow AQs,

I've found a 3 ft tank in my storeroom and I'll be converting it to a shrimp tank in due time. However, I'm unsure of what equipment is suitable for the tank, such as filtration canister, air pump & so on.
Currently, I do have a 1.5 ft shrimp tank and it seems to have stabilized now. I wish for this tank to be soil-less, thus will be avoiding any shrimp soil. Are there any precautions I should take note for a soil-less tank?

Questions:
1) Type of Canister filter
2) I'll be using fine gravel aquarium sand. Is there anything I should add to it?
3) Suitable water/air pump
4) Cycling of soil-less tank (materials needed)
5) Is a chiller recommended for low grade CBS CRS? Heard of them thriving in hot temperatures
6) Budget

Regards,
Junneh
