juvenile rams with bad ich

SO 2 days ago, in the morning when i looked at my fishes, there were fine. A few hours later, the fins of my rams have white specks. Did some research online and found out that it was ich. Researched more and decided on paraguard instead of waterline protozion ( however you spell it) as i am using all seachem products and find them really good.

Yesterday night, ich seemed to worsen. However my rams are still swimming and eating like crazy. One of them is so greedy to the extent that it will even go all the way up to the water surface to snatch food, in the midst of chasing the other ram away. My question is, my rams are so young, will they die? Very heart pain to see them covered in white specks. The smaller ram is getting it worse than the bigger one. The bigger one only has it on its fins. Should i do a salt dip as well? Will it cause additional stress? On 2nd day of paraguard treatment. Tonight will be the 3rd dose.

On a side note, this morning i spotted an almost translucent snail with light brown shell. Never saw it before in my tank.

a) ich can only be treated when its in the free swimming stage. in otherwords, medicine does nothing to fish with ich, its only when the cysts erupt that the ich can be killed. (ie: it'll get worse before it'll get better)

b) just follow the dosage and paraguard your tank 2 weeks to be safe. but technically lifecycle of ich is 48hours in our weather (30c), so after 1 week, at least 3 lifestage cycles are completed, so you might even get away with 1 week.

treat the tank, not the fish.

help... my rams are improving but now my guppies seem to be covered with ich... shud i continue with paraguard or change to sera costapur or waterlife protozin?
