    Hi Everyone,

Just a quick question for all experts here. Currently here is my setup.

    60x30x36 Aquarium
Aqualighter 2 - Here is the website. http://gcshop-sg.com/product_view.ph...&stm=-1&dsct=0
    Eheim Ecco Pro 3
    Aqua Cooler fan

    Plants:

    1. Hygrophila pinnatifida
    2. Rotala rotundifolia
    3. Rotala sp Macrandra 'green'
    4. Rotala sp. 'wallichii'
    5. Hair grass
    6. Ludwigia sp. Mini Super Red
    7. ProserpinicaPalustris

My Question is do i need to change my light for this plant to grow better or show it best or it is enough. Currently i purchase a Odyssea Quad T5 light and having a second thought to replace it.

Any response is appreciated and i really need to decide to change or not to change.

You didn't mentioned any Co2 injection... if carbon is the limiting factor in plant growth, then increasing light intensity will not help as the plants wouldn't be able to use all of it effectively anyways (it'll help grow algae instead).

I see... okay in that case, if you have already achieved stable plant growth with the existing lights, and want to increase growth further... then can go for higher intensity lights and tat the same time increase the Co2 injection and fert dosing to match it.

Thanks bro. It just that i feel that the plant not getting enough light, I got one type of plants that the leaves are smaller on the buttom and the top which reaching the surface got wider leaves. Then the Rotala rotundifolia growth of the leaves seems far away from each other not compact. Not sure because of the light or not. Running the light for 7 hours only daily. 3 pm to 10PM.

Yeah, those growth patterns could be indicative of higher light requirement.

Maybe try increasing Co2 injection and fert dosing to make sure the plants are not limited by those factors first, if still no visible improvement, then increasing light intensity would be the next step.

Decided to change the light. I already tried increasing the doses of fertz and CO2 and it pay me a lot. I loose fish and shirmp on this process. Now going to observe if its going to do well or not .

your current Quad T5 should be considered a lot. Did you hang the fixtures?
