Why my new sudo reef sand turn brown after wash?

any idea why the Sudo reef sand that I got turned brown after wash? Is this normal?

Nope. Will there be any diff due to lightings? I tried Ada la plata too and do not have the issue with sand turning color when wet...

The Sudo Reef Sand will look darker when wet if viewed under ambient light conditions (its like when you drip water on beach sand), but when you put it into your tank and switch on the tank lights it will become light beige color. It all depends on the light source.

thanks for the reply. Was worried that it would affect my design and thinking of replacing with la plata, lucky I asked before spending again.
