what is the correct arrangement for filter media

Can anyone verify what's the correct order for the filter media in external canister filter?

Here is my filter media arrangement from bottom to top;

1 - lava stone
2 - ceramic ring
3 - bio balls + carbon

I set mine according to Eheim and some google links. Am using a 2026 configured as follow (bottom to top):

1. Ehfimech (ceramic rings)
2. Ehfifix (coarse filter made)
3. Ehfisubstrat (sintered glass)
4. Fine filter wool

I believe the rationale is to filter from large to small particles.
