Hi guys,
I was walking past Striker's Aquarium a couple months ago and saw these Paracheirodon simulans aka Green Neons and immediately fell for them. (Of course my FS masters advice that I needed to get pure blue fish in my tank which are tough to come by - helped)
So I popped 6 into my tank and after 3 months they are still hiding under rocks and driftwood. Not even coming out to feed!
Anyone knows what's wrong?
I'm guessing the school is too small so I thought of adding more, however I can't seem to find them anywhere!
Does anyone know where I can get them?

Too little of them. They feel unsafe. But don't worry, there are many of micro organisms in your tank for them to feed
Any larger or more aggressive fishes in the tank? Or perhaps there is very bright lighting or very strong current in the tank? Sometimes those factors can also make them hide alot too.
Yeah, stocking more of them would usually promote an increased sense of safety in numbers, which can help to make them more bold.
Thanks guys I think that's exactly that. There was a larger aggressive SAE which I've since shifted to another tanks. Lights are strong and I've installed another pump in the tank to promote circulation.
My problem now is no one stocks this fish anymore!
Has anyone seen these?
