Hi everyone,

Just want to say a quick hi to everyone as I am new to this forum!
I currently dabble in goldfishes as I like them and initially thought that they were easy to keep.
However, after the a few deaths and some research, I realized I would need more than just a goldfish bowl to keep them.
Since then, I had upgraded to a 3 ft tank (150L) with 5 goldfishes (4 ryukin and 1 ranchu).
I may get some photos up for the goldfishes probably in the future.

I'm relatively new to the fishkeeping hobby, started about less than a year ago. Hope to get some tips and advices from the posts on this forum.

Welcome to the Aq family!

Goldfish are high bioload fish, meaning they eat a lot and poop a lot. A good Water change regime and a robust bio filter is needed to break down the poop toxic. Of course, a planted tanks helps, but gold fish are known destroyers of scape. Hahaha.

From a bowl to a 3ft tank, that's a huge jump! But definitely with the larger water volume, things might be easier to handle. Good luck!

Time flies!

Realised it has been almost 2 years since I posted this. A quick update!

Unfortunately, only 2 out of the 5 goldfishes had survived.

Here is a small tribute to them...
