    Hi guys, just a sharing, happened to see a shop selling T5 LED light tube while doing window shopping at Sembawang Shopping Center. SGD $24 for 3 ft, 10 watt. The color temperature rated 6000-6500, but the power rating seems quite low, probably not enough to grow plants...fyi for those interested.

    For those easy plants like anubias and moss should be ok, it is also depend on how deep is the tank.
    The lights that you posted in the pics, did you open and see how the cover look like? i bet the they do not
    have transparent cover..most of the lights i found here have translucent white cover which obstruct light
    penetration to the bottom of the tank.

    Yup, those are translucent. I think for normal illumination, people don't want to see the individual LED. Thus, using the cover to spread out the light.

    are those tube lights useful. I use Pro Grow LED
