I have been finding tiny white/grey particles floating on the surface of the water in my tanks. Especially concerned finding them in my shrimp tank.

So do you guys cover your tanks and if anyone knows if these particles from the haze is detrimental to the shrimps in the tank?

Unlikely to be the result of the haze. However, if you keep your tanks indoor, that should be fine.
Currently keeping large predatory fish 🐟

The bigger problem is the smoke dust which are getting into OUR lungs.

A few hours of it may be harmless, but if it goes on for an extended period, there's no telling what damage or side effects it may have on us, particularly those with breathing difficulties.
LIFE IS UNBEARABLE WITHOUT A FISH TANK!!!

I agree with tetra kid; let's not get too carried away with this beloved hobby of ours when our health and those loved ones around (humans, family, friends, not fish or shrimp related) should be the number one concern.

Get an air purifier, n95 masks, then start worrying about the water quality of your tank?

If you have those expensive shrimps it is better to cover the tank top. I stay on the top floor and there are dust particle everywhere near the window and even inside the apartment.
My tank is set right beside the window and yes, there are the white dust particle floating everday even after i cleared it...
