what you can do is add a piece of plywood of the length 2x1x1 and you should be good to go.
what kind of tv console is that? wonder if it is able to take the weight of the new tank though.
Hi all
have been using my idea TV table which is very sturdy for my 1.5 feet tank. The table measures 1.5 feet so it is an exact match.
Considering upgrading to a 2x1x1 ft tank which will triple the current tank volume.
Will tank be able to sustain since a portion in each side will be resting on air without support from table?
Is it easy to get off the shelf tank of this measurement?
Thks!

A 2ft tank is easily double the water volume and weight of a 1.5ft tank, so you have to factor that into consideration when checking the actual load capability of the TV stand.
Although putting a larger tank onto a narrower stand is possible with the sides hanging out in mid-air, it is alot less stable and much easier to topple if someone accidently bumps into it. Better to get a proper stand that fits the 2ft tank dimensions for stability.
Can you post pics of the tv table with the tank on it.
It's those low ikea TV table, not sure how many kg is its weight bearing but so far for my 1.5 ft, very sturdy.
