Why 150x45x35 tank? that is 5x1.5x1 feet. For that size you have to custom make it.
Hi guys, i've decided to come back to this hobby again after so long. What better now that we're all working adults earning our own $$. Anyways, i'm kind of attracted to the idea of doing a planted aquarium, so at the moment i'm just doing research after research after research.
Don't think i will be getting a tank anytime soon until i get the keys to my BTO.
I'm looking at a shallow tank setup probably 150x45x35.
I hope i could learn from the pros here on planted tanks, maintenance and etc.

Hi there. Thanks for replying. The main reason is because i wanted to fiddle around with a shallow tank setup. Easier for light penetration as well as give it a different dimension and perspective of how you look at it. Since it'll just be filled with various tetras, it won't be an issue for me.
Yes i know the tank must be custom made. I've done my homework and may change the dimension to 60 though. The tank should cost me approximately $300, with a 10mm thickness all around. Any lobang for a cabinet?
I need suggestions on what filter to use since it would be approximately 200 liters. I'm looking at sera fil. Seems interesting.

so your tank will be 5 x 2 x 1 tank...
For cabinet wise,since you are doing custom tank,you should ask CR aquarium or N30 for quotation,they do good job on tanks and cabinet.

For a 5 footer you must get ready to spend,for filter i strongly recommend Eheim slightly expensive but their spare parts are easy to find.
