Hi, the Crypts in my crs tank overgrows and I want to change them with other plants for a new layout. Since the crypts root has been strongly anchored to the substrate, is there any way to remove them without affecting the substrate/water parameter?
I tried to cut all the leaves, but as long as its root is still there, it'll grow back quickly. Crypts are really persistent though
There are a lot of shrimplets in my tanks, so cannot net them all out.
    Thanks!

I have never tried before, I saw some articles suggesting to slightly pull the plant up to reveal alittle of the roots and cut them off. The purpose is to avoid disrupting the substrate as much as possible.
