This co2 tank is troublesome. The bubble counter seems to gets slower every now and then. Is it because of pressure loss? I got to keep gng back to the co2 tank to adjust the valve to a faster speed, the uncle from e aquarium advise was to on it for 8 hours a day. At least need to on the main tank valve 3-4 times. Can the experts advise if this is normal? Was thinking of getting a solenoid co2 counter and put it on timer to resolve the issue.

Thats the weakness of single gauge manual regulator systems, the injection rate tends to be much less stable and every time you open and close the main valve, the setting changes (not to mention its tedious to have to do it every day and injection period is based on how consistent you are).

It'll be much easier and better to get a dual gauge solenoid regular system instead, way more stable injection rate and the entire process is fully automated.

How much would the dual gauge solenoid regular system cost? Must I change the whole co2 setup or jus get the solenoid system?

Just getting a solenoid would help.. Its around $100.. Attach both the CO2 and your lights to a timer so that it would turn on when your lights come on.. Makes life much much easier.. Trust me.. Check the bubble counter once every few days to see if its still at the setting you set..

Yes the issue is your regulator, even when you get the right BPS once the pressure drop in the tank you have to adjust it..get the dual gauge, spend a little bit more..

I use the ANS Co2 Regulator with Solenoid system, costs around S$90+ on is own (mine was in a full package with Co2 tank and all the accessories, so it worked out cheaper).

Here is a product link to it: http://www.eastoceansg.com/ans-co2-r...od-p-1003.html

Just remove the existing manual regulator and replace it with the new regulator with solenoid, its quite a straightforward process. If you are not sure how to do it, just bring your current Co2 tank to the LFS and ask the staff to help you install it.
