Looks like anubias plants? Since the tank is only a week old and the plants were newly added, its normal for the older plant leaves to melt due to the transition process. Just trim away the melting leaves so that the plant will reallocate resources to grow out newer healthy adapted leaves.

The tank is 2 months old but this plant only 1 week old. It's not anubias. Can grow as tall as 45cm as per lfs

Looks like a kind of echinodorus, amazon sword... I agree with Bro UA, the plant is adapting to your tank's parameters, hence the old leaves melting away. Or maybe could be due to seachem excel burning the leaves.

    Re: Plant leaves turning brown

Amazon sword is an easy growing water plant, don't think there should be much concern. Just cut away the brown leaf and the plant should do well as all the other leaves are very health looking. Can't really explain the browning, could be that the leaf was already old/damaged when you got it, and it starts to die off now.
