3 days ago, I discovered 2 of my guppies infected with dropsy and had past away the next day after I quarantine them.
Today I discovered another guppy infected with dropsy again. I quarantine her again.
Read online that it will affect others too. But there is no cure especially the final stage (pine cone scale).
Was wondering any guru able to share how to prevent or even some grandmother remedy that can sure?
Thank you in advance.

Sadden by the lost. Is there any way to prevent it from happening? Did 50% water change twice since the first incident happen. Dunno how more to come.

So far i've only ever encountered this issue in a batch of fishes from a long time ago... and best i could trace its cause was poor tank conditions at the LFS because i noticed they were already exhibiting those symptoms of dropsy in the LFS tank (at that time i was still new in the hobby and didn't spot the problem early). All of them died shortly after.
Its seems that dropsy is a symptom that could be caused by many possible illness or infections, so you actually have to observe and figure out the exact illness/infection that is causing it then can treat properly.
Bad water conditions lower the fish's immune system and make them weaker and more susceptible to various illness or infections, so thats a big contributing factor. So to avoid this happening to the fishes, i guess we just have keep the water conditions clean, choose healthy fishes and quarantine all new fishes to prevent the potential spread of diseases and infections to the rest of your existing fishes.

Ive managed to save a few fish with dropsy, though success rate is not high. When I noticed that the fish is suffering from dropsy, I removed the fish to a qt tank and added sodium nifurstyrenate aka japanese yellow powder. No filteration in the tank, with just a air bubble to provide aeration. Increase temps to 30deg celcius and perform daily water change of as much water as possible.

Beauty is everywhere, but have you seen it?
Sorry to learn about that. Apistogramma is also well known susceptible to dropsy. It can be bacterial infections, parasitic infections, or liver dysfunction. wide ranging
