    could it be

    a) It does break down after time if you move things around.
    b) Compaction is a problem...poor plant growth.
    c) Mmmm...hard on the wallet.

ask at Keong Seong just now, $23 for a 2.6 litre pack.
    Use a plastic strip....

that wouldn't stop plants like glosso and ranalisma whose runner runs above the substrate. it needs to flush down to the surface otherwise very ugly right?

anyway $23 for 2.6 litres is seriously stiff.

just happened to be at havelock for lunch. when to TB Ben and got a pair of little pipefish (not sure juvenile or miniature species) and one of those weird fish with a body like black knife fish and a head like a dog.

don't need things from teo this week. maybe next week then go, after I get the new tank.

err..if the substrate is just slightly above (1cm+) i think its okay..the runners go quite deep..
Anyway...its not like you're not going to prune right?

what you mean? HG yes the runners are rather deep, but glosso and this ranalisma also the runner actually "fly" over the substrate woh.
