    Hi guys,

Just wanted to share this tank with you guys.

    Tank specifications: 120cm x 45cm x 45cm (approx 230 liters)
    Light: 54 W x 4 bulbs,. Giesemann Tropic 6500k. 6 hours a day
    CO2: 12bps pressurized co2 from 2 diffusers.
Filter: Canister filter flow rate 31 liter/min.
Plants: Rotala rotundifolia, Rotala green, Rotala Colorata, Didiplis Diandra, Microsorum Trident, Mini pelia, US Fissidens, Anubias white mini, Anubias petite, Crypto Wilisii, Pinatifida, marsilea Hirsuta, Marsilea Crenata, staurogyne repens, etc I can't remember all
Ferts: Right now dosing ADA step 1 and Brighty K. ECA once a week.
Fauna : Apisto Nijsseni, Apisto cacatuoides lemon orange, super blue emperor tetra, Assasin snail. (Looking for coral red pencils and dicrossus Filamentosus)
Tank stats: pH 6.0, gH 4, kH 3, temp 24.5 degrees regulated using chiller. Phosphate 0.25 after using Sera Phosphate granules.

Tank looks fine now after cleaning and pruning. I'm battling hair algae here and I'm currently dosing excel 3 times the recommended dosage (fish taking it well so far). Been trying to find the balance between nutrients and lights and CO2 and not really successful yet. Got all my fish from Singapore and all of them are doing fine in my tank.

One question: How high do you usually hang your T5 lights from the waterline?
Been trying to adjust, quite painstaking cleaning green hair algae that appears so fast.

Looking good. However it's wierd that your battling hair algae cos my chiller kind of subdues any algae. If you diae flourish excel, remember to do water changes weekly or if not, your fish might be poisoned.

I think you can leave it as it is in the picture. Being too low to the tank will increase chances of the light getting wet and leaving messy deposits all over the glass which over time, will reduce light intensity.
Do you have an electrical timer for your lights? If you don't, you should get one because it will help you monitor and control the period of lighting.
Also, I think you should cut your CO2 for a while to arrest the algae situation unless your plants are in desperate need if it. My experience tells me that CO2 = Alage attack most of the time and actually all you need for good plant growth is good soil and suitable temperature. All said is true unless your growing exotic plants that require special attention.
