Hi all,
I have two tank cycling. 64L and 94L, both on ADA amazonia soil and PH monosoft bio media.
Both also running on UGF, mature filter and sponge filter. hope to kick start the cycling.
Strangely, seem like 64L tank to be cycled finish within a week, can anyone help to confirm? Lolz, the 64L i already throw one commando chocolate gourami for testing and seem like it is doing well.

If the bacteria in the 64L tank's filter are active, they will need to be fed with ammonia ( from poop).
If not enough ammonia, the colony will be diminished. Maybe one fish will not be enough to supply enough poop to feed the bacteria.
Assuming your mature filter is potent with a bacteria colony, you will need to keep them well-nourished with adequate poop.

Since ADA Amazonian Soil contains pre-packed Ammonia for the cycling kick-start, your tank should be able to undergo fishless cycling, assuming that your ADA Product was bought recently cos ADA only made the new update to all their products I think a year ago? It worked for my 30 litre tank cos it's pretty wierd getting fish before plants...... That's why your tank cycled so quickly!

Thank you all ! I constantly test for both tank of Ammonia and nitrite. Both show constant 0. So i consider cycled. Throw a few commando CRS and WR, within two day, it molt too~!

My 64L tank, just a normal looking tank and nothing fanciful, in fact is to test out the UGF. Forget about the lighting, it is meant for 45cm. Meanwhile just use first.
