I love bettas.... they look so graceful. But I don't like their bare tanks.
So I messed around with what spare soil and rocks. Bought some plants to complement what I scavenged from my existing tanks, and after about half hour came up with this.
But it now I think the tank is not suitable for Betta. The rocks will tear its fin. And probably smaller fishes is more appropriate for this scape.
Tank : 23 X 17 X 15 cm
Filter : Dolphin H80 HOB
Soil : Some old soil I have!!
Temp : 28 ° C using Dymax fan
Daily Excel dosing (1/2 cap)
Twice weekly SeaChem Trace (1/2 cap)
Light : 8 hrs a day
Since its old soil that was rinsed before I put it in, how do I make sure the plants are well fertilised and the plants get the proper nutrients?
nice.....
@azman, very nice betta tank.
Planning to do one for my betta.
I was told that I need to put some aquarium salt for my betta.
But I am aware that salts is no no for planted tank.
Do you put nay salt in yours?
I have 1 betta in my 3 feet planted tank, i never put salt..
Small amounts of aquarium salt is okay but do note that with aquarium salt, some faunas are more sensitive unlike guppies or bettas, they can take small amount as it helps as a form of antibody against bacteria
