Hello, i am an Aussie lady who has an aquarium addiction. I enjoy chatting to fellow fish keepers, and seeing their tanks and fish. Really looking forward to getting to know you guys

3.5ft - Currently getting ready to be planted

2.5ft - Yellow Cherry shrimp
2.5ft - Platinum gouramis
2.5ft - to be resealed
2ft - Guppies
2ft - getting DIY background redone

I do envy you for having so many tanks.

If I have my way, I'd surely keep a couple of 6-footers for my Red Belly Pacus, as they can grow real big. These delightful fish are full of personality, quite unlike any other fish. If only they didn't grow so huge, I'd be keeping them for life. Wonderful fish those.

That's very clever way to bring nitrates down in a biotope setup. Would be nice to see more pictures of the eel! (Silly question: Does it have electric charge?)

Normal water changes dont take too long....its only when i decide to rescape or such that takes the time. The tank on top is actually a sump, but yes the plants are planted into it

That is the purpose of the plants being in there. I have some pics, i will add them for you. The eel doesnt have an electric charge....i certainly havent been zapped when i have touched her

It is photogenic....i love her face, so cute!

This guy is the Australian longfin eel (Anguilla reinhardtii), the NZ longfin eel is different (Anguilla dieffenbachii), though the Australian one is found around NZ as well. I didnt catch this one, i bought it, but it would have come from the wild as they cannot be bred in captivity.

Goldies get to be big fish, they need room to move i believe.....love my goldies
