This plant needs high lighting and good nutrition. Some water flow will be appreciated and allow the plant to grow better.

Also, for those who are still looking for red root floaters, go to SeaView. I went there today and saw some being sold in the plants(floating plant box) for quite a high price compared to a typical floating plant. Aka 80cents per 5-10 pieces. Might seem cheap to some, but others like frogbit, water hyacinth and duckweed are much better options for me.

They are pretty easy for me, grew quite a bit and deep red too.

Lucky you. Mine grows slowly while my frogbits mutiply like hell. I don't really like red root floaters as their roots aren't as long as my frogbits plus the shrimps don't favour them. :' )

My frogbit was destroyed by my shrimp. Lol..

I suspect it needs high light. I had some in my slightly lower light and 1/2 filled tank, PH about 5-5.5 and most melted away, while the one last plant that I threw to my higher light, fully filled tank thriving, Ph 6-6.5. Both tanks on the same ADA fertilizer regime.
