I have tiny black bugs on my floating plants. Far too small to really see what they look like or how many legs they have or anything. They never break the surface of the water but they do jump around on the water very fast. I can get a picture but all it would show is a tiny black dot on my fingertip. Would like to know what these are and most importantly how to get rid of them. Thanks in advance.

Spring tails maybe since they only on the water surface? Need picture to verify.

There is a good website recommended by some bros here: http://lifeinfreshwater.net/water-mites/ you can check and verify.
