Help on Algae bloom

Would like to seek some advice here on my setup.

Tank is about 3 weeks old, with quite a mix of plants, x'mas moss, mini fissiden, HC, monte carlo, downoi, tiger lily, some buceps and crpyto

Co2 and light at about 4 hours before switching it off for 2-3 hours than on for 4 hours again, all program on timer.

temperature have been relatively low at about 24-27, no chiller.

Was away the last 5 days and temperature raised up to 32 when I am back today.

No fish at the moment, except for 3 mini puffers and 5 yamatoes which I am not seeing now.

I noticed that there is quite a bit of green hairy/stringy algae in the tank. some on the buceps and driftwood. Downoi and HC melted quite a bit as well, which is probably due to the temperature.

Can anyone share some advice on the co2 injection and light timings?
Also, any effective methods to rid the algae?
If I consider chiller for my tank, what chiller would be recommended? I need something quiet, efficient and hopefully don give off too much heat.

I notice that there are a lot of this hairy stuff on the bucep and I can't make out if it's the buceps that are disintegrating or if they are algae.

Also notice these black spots but they are not bba, when I use a sucker to blow at it, it actually goes off.

Since you are injecting CO2, i suggest you skip the siesta period. Turn on the CO2 and lights for straight 6hrs.
Try to get a fan to bring down the temperature, if not the CO2 may not dissolve properly in water and will affect the growth of carpet plants at the bottom area of the tank. I have no experience with chiller so I can't help you on that, but recently the buy/sell section has a couple of chillers for sale, you may want to take a look?

You may also want to try Easylife Algaexit to control the algae. I suspect the algae is caused by imbalance of nutrients(could be nitrate as there are melting plants and the contribution from aquasoil), do a 50% water change to reset and dose Potassium.

Thanks Wingcher, I adjusted the timing to 12-5pm, and 19-1am.
Temperature have also been broguht down to 28 so far.

Why not make it 12pm to 6pm and let the plants and fishes rest for the night?

Actually the main reason was I like to see them when I am back home after work

I think that's a very good suggestion. I will probably do that in the morning.

Just an update I found 3 yamatoes but am pretty sure 1 puffer died as I only see 2 puffers at any given time.

You should cut the CO2 immediately and add Seachem Flourish Excel for a period of 2 weeks. What I like to do to curb algae is to lower the temperature using a chiller and then let my Clean Up Crew, Yamatos and Ottos, rid the algae once and for all! But since you don't have a chiller, just add Algaexit or Excel to get rid of the algae. Alternatively, just increase your water changes and cut back the lighting.
