I have a current 3 feet tank that have some cracks and after several tries of gluing the tank with silicon, I've decided to get a new one. I've ask some LFS about the dimension of an average 3 feet tank and it seems that majority of the tanks are 90cm by 45cm by 45cm which is slightly bigger than my current one, 90cm by 40cm by 42cm. So is there any LFS that sell tanks similar to my current one ? And if so what will be the average pricing ? My current tank contains live soil and driftwood with Java fern and moss tied to it but it was infested with BGA. So can I reuse back the soil in my new tank ? Or should I purchase a new one ? If I were to reuse back the soil, do I need to wash off the BGA or do any type of cleaning to the soil ?

CR Aquarium makes customized tanks, do give them a call or email and ask for quotation.

As for the soil, I would remove top most soil, then top up with additional new soil.

Just did this for a recent rescape project on my 3 feet.

    Hi TS,
aquarium size;- normally LFS only sells standard size, weird sizes are not easy to find, you may need to custom made them
SOIL :- what do you mean with live soil? if potting soil: you can reuse them unless you have certain infection or sickness going on. If aquasoil:- same as potting soil. normally we don't wash the aquasoil to prevent loss of nutrients.
BGA:- manual remove as much as possible. some pictures of you tank with equipment will allow us to assist you better.

Since you have specific requirement for your tank size, best to custom make it. CR, N30, GC are all possible places to get it custom made.

    Re: Changing new tank

Well it seems like I have to get a custom made tank, I may consider getting the standard size tank instead. As for the live soil, it is complete infested with BGA so I'm going to change to a new one. Any brand of soil to recommend ? My current live soil is some type of soil that is suited for shrimps.
