Teco TK500 for 3 feet tank? Reviews, advice and inputs?

I'm planning to jump into the chiller club and have zoomed in on Teco brand for my planted tank (planning to keep CRS once plants have grown in!).

Does anyone have any reviews on the new Teco chillers?

Is this model TK 500 good enough for my setup?

tank dimension: 90x45x45 cm
filter: Eheim 2217

Lastly, where can I get this? I've never seen one on display nor sale at the LFS that I normally go to.

I'm open to other suggestions too, so do chip in if you are using other chillers on your 3 feet tank.

I have recently gotten for myself a TK500 for my tank too.
Coincidentally, I also have a 2217 which I plan to run for my tank - 90 x 50 x 50cm
I got mine from Aquatic Avenue. The TK500 looks awesome man, but I will only be able to review it next week after I set up my tank. Been busy with work. It will only be up next week

Meanwhile, TK500 has gotten some rave reviews online. I believe it is comparable to JBJs Artica but at a lower price point.

I have just managed to set up my 2217 to a teco tk500
I must say that the chiller is impressive. Very silent and chills a 3 ft tank pretty quickly.
I will probably upload some pictures next week as my tank is being set up

One thing though. Due to the different sizing of hoses, i had to get 2 x converters 13to17mm
And use 3 eheim double taps in all.

Bro Phillipians, I'm looking forward to your review with some pictures. How's the hose connection like? Build quality solid? Would I need to mod an external thermostat like Hailea chillers?

I may burn my year-end bonus on this. The missus will definitely be unhappy...

Upload later for you. As i am into the build quality of the converters, i bought the steel ones from green chapter for about $20 a piece. Used 2 x 16/22mm and 1 x 12/16mm double taps. Works like a charm. No leaking and the 2217 is surprisingly still very powerful. More than enough for my 3ft.

If c328 quoted you less than 800 than you got a better deal than I did. Perhaps you should get it from them. Make sure it is the TK500 not the TK150

Yes, is TK500.

Previously I bought TK150 from them, which is less than $700.

Teco owners, do you think tk150 is enough to chill the 3ft tank?
assuming the tank was 30%filled by hardscape, the water volume probably somewhere around 120L.

It is always good to get a chiller with higher capacity. That way you do not over tax your chiller. However, TK150 should work well with 3ft just that you will probably see it kick in more often
