I also have similar questions. For example, water wisteria has different leaf structures under different water parameters. I recently bought an aquatic plant from LFS which I'm still unsure of its name. It had round, short leaves, but since I introduced it into my tank, the new growths were soft, needle-like strands. They were completely different from what I bought!

My question is whether this change in leaf structure is a response to different water temperature, different nutrient dosings, different water flow rate, or some other parameter?
