    Hi,
Will plant growth be affected by Gh? Most website and apps will mentioned of the pH and KH and temperature of each species of plant. But so far I never see any that mention the GH. So I'm just curious if GH is important or not for plants

Re: water parameters that affect plants

Most plants can adapt to growing in a wide range of GH, they use some of the minerals as nutrients for photosynthesis and growth too.

GH levels tend to be of more concern to aquarists who keep the more sensitive fish or shrimps species that require specific water parameters.

From what I was told, GH will tell the amount of Ca and Mg content in your water and these 2 are impt to plant growth. If GH is too low, you may have to dose GH booster (which contain Ca and Mg).

Just a general guide, Generally GH above 4 should not need GH booster...it still based on tank to tank basis.
