You need an assassin Snail, Just one will do, to wipe out the snails.

Just Get a small one

cherry shrimps, yes. as its small and shrimps are always regard as food to many fishes as long they can fit into their mouth.

as for yamato, nope. i kept 5 yamato with a betta, in each tank setup..
