where did you get your betta and how much?
i got it from a local betta breeder . Paid $30 sgd for it but it was a small & very young fish then.
If adult fish it would cost $50-$70 sgd .
Nice betta tank setup.
Just curious, i noticed the bottom of the tank seems to be covered with a layer of coarse jagged rocks, is there a chance your betta's long fins might get caught on the edges and get torn?
One more thing to note, the small plant with white vein patterned leaves is a fittonia plant, it a terrestrial house plant, not aquatic.
Thanks for posting & for the praise. I am glad that you like it.
Yes, those rocks seems like can cause some harm to his fins. Strangely, it does not . I had them there for quite some time now .
Thanks for highlighting regarding the fittonia plant. I am not too good with identifying plants and just plant it in there for looks.
I think your fittonia can last under water for a while, but soon it'll start rotting. Usually it's sold for paludariums and vivariums.

its a pity if you are not spawning the betta...
look at your picture a few times... looks like your betta is living in the land of giants..
any full tank shot with showing the tank and equipment?
Beautiful fish.
Wahaha ! its the effect of wide angle lens used at close up.
3 more photos taken with a Sony NEX-5N camera @ 18mm wide angle .
picture is clearer now compare to handphone pics. Its really not big and i was thinking of putting it on my desktop.
