Hi guys! Wanna share how my pair of albino cichlids died recently and get your opinion.
I got this two baby albino cichlids about 3 years ago. I put them into a 3" tank with some sand and rocks and a pleco. Shortly after, they begin to attack each other. I thought I had provided sufficient hiding spaces but apparently not. So I took both out. I gave one to my relative and kept the other in another tank. I then bought some neon tetras for my original tank.
Both cichlids grew to adult sizes and were very active and healthy. I will frequently go to my relative's and hence can see how my cichlid was doing. The one that I still kept was doing very well too.
Suddenly, over the weekend, my cichlid died. It was very sudden and I kept thinking of what was the reason. I'm still puzzled, but I was thinking I could have messed up the recent water change. Then, I received a msg from my relative to tell me that the cichlid that I gave them died over the weekend too!!! They didn't know what happened because they just got back from a weekend holiday.
So this became a very strange thing for me. Did they die of age, or did something even more bizarre happen? Something supernatural?
