Hi guys, just quick question. Can color shrimp breed in aquarium fresh water?

Some people says that color shrimp and Malayan shrimps are the same, but i dont think so, because I have both before. Color does change colors but Malayan stay transparent, I manage to breed Malayan before but not color shrimps. color shrimp size also seems to be bigger.

Anyone breed color shrimps before? Is it also similar to Malayan? Larvae stage also?

Colour shrimp is usually bigger size. Malayan is tiny version. Both are in larve form. If your water parameter is right, it actually can breed faster than cherry.
If you keen in breeding, just have to take note that your tank cannot have fish at all. Purely shrimp..

I'm treating it as algae cleaning crew, I do have some tetra, just hoping that they can breed to at least maintain the numbers in my tank...or maybe i will get some yamato that big enough and wouldnt be eaten by fishes. thanks for your reply bro.
