    Hi All,

I would want to remove the Java fern plantlets, which I had so many. Is there a easy way to remove them, without cutting so that I do not ruin the leaves shape of my Java fern?

    What is recommended?

The java fern plantlets will usually drop off the main leaves once they are large enough. You could also pluck them off too, just have to be careful not to damage them in the process.

But the mother leaf will eventually die out. Is that right? How soon?

Well, if tank conditions are good the mother plant will usually just keep growing larger over time. I've seen some massive java ferns in friend's tanks that have been growing for years.

Thanks a lot for the clarification. I was under the impression that once new plantlets grow out the mother leaf dies out.

Your friend should also be a knowledgeable and experienced person. Often we take for granted the required knowledge and skill required to get things right.
LIFE IS UNBEARABLE WITHOUT A FISH TANK!!!
