Anyone have any experience with this ?
Hi guys,
Not sure if any one have tried this before. I was recommended the ultimate brand, anti chlorine by c328 uncle. However I did not notice that the label says that it's for saltwater, I do a check and saw someone posted about it being safe for freshwater, but all my fishes started to die off and all my snail(which were bought yesterday) died after a day. 10 pieces all together and I am not sure if that is coincidental.
Anyone have any experience with this ?
not an expert, but did you happen to overdose?
Or rather, has your tank been cycled yet? Will need more details on the set up too like tank size and fauna info
Think another way, I guess the easier way for your answer is to get seachem prime or alternative dechlorine for fresh water and try out, as it should be cheaper than losing your livestock. Again, as pointed out by bro simbk, do not overdose and strictly follow the instruction.

use filtered water or over night water.. you dont have to get a anti chlorine![]()
Tank is cycled. I don't think I overdose, as with most antichlorine, don't think the overdose limit is easily reach, but I didn't. Water is same as before direct tap.
I have change the water about 50%. With prime and just did another round of water change with ultimate again.
Anyone knows what other reason could have killed the snails?
Did you check your water parameters? Maybe you can share your setup for the senior Bros to have a better understanding of what might have happened
LIFE IS UNBEARABLE WITHOUT A FISH TANK!!!
Aged water is a term used to describe tap water which have been left in a container for one or more days, usually a few days. This will allow the chlorine in it to disperse into the atmosphere. However some water may contain chloramine which is not removed this way. But I have been using aged water without further treatment for years without problem.
Of course I don't keep expensive fish like arowana or rare discus, hence I am not too particular about that. But I do use activated charcoal at regular intervals.

I like to use aged water but it is not possible in my case due to the setup.
It does seems like the tank is stablize again. I will continue to monitor.
