    i'n thinking of getting a 150W MH for my 3 feet tank... its okay right....
    what if i get a 250 W MH... so next time no need upgrade IF i buy a bigger tank..... will i be courting algae trouble if i use a 250W for my 3 feet tank.....
    don't wanna get PL...sick of PL already... haha ... wanna get stylo milo pendulum MH lighting... haha....=) oh by the way i have chiller so temp is not a prob

    ehhh... dont get overboard with your lights. Consider adding another 150w when you upgrade the next time.

    how about the K

    K is the lighting intensity or something right..... is it better to use 10000K or 6500K.... 10000K is more blue if i'm not wrong and 6500 K is more white.... so use 6500 or 10000 better... i read somewhere in this forum or AF saying 10000 will reduce algae growth or something?? is that true or myth....

    plants absorb from a range of spectrum. 10000k is indeed bluish, 6500k should be on the warm side. I would say, use 6500k range. Is there a link that state that using 10000k reduce algae?

    I only believe a well-balanced planted tank will reduce algae, not from the use of a certain light tube. But you can experiment and let us know the result. I think many people really want to know the truth
