Hi guys, i need help for a tank that im setting for my two newly bough flower crabs. These flower crabs are really tiny(smaller than rainbow crabs), i bgt them from lfs@clementi. I just need some suggestion on what type of substrate is good for them.

Forest moss, coco husk, plantation soil or sand?

Any photos of this "flower crab"? It will help in proper identification.

Okay, that crab is sometimes labelled as leopard crab at some LFS... Green Chapter sold them a while back and kept them in a tank fully submersed. Not sure if they are actually fully aquatic though, or can just live underwater for long periods of time.

They have similar patterns to panther crabs (i kept those before), which are fully aquatic sulawesi crab species, but no confirmation if they are the same species.

Anyways, any of those substrates you mentioned can work. These crabs seem to be able to live on land and underwater so they should be quite adaptable.

Ohh thanks bro, anyways, are other types of substrates suitable for hermit crabs, such as forest moss or plantation soil? Rather than sand and coco husk.

You could use other substrates like moss or soil too... though most people usually use sand as its easier to clean waste and uneaten food from.

I guess it just depends on how much effort you want to put into maintaining the tank environment. Just try and see.
