How much light is enough???

I am using 4" x 2 1/1" X 2 1/2" feet tank.
I have
-2x lighting 10,000 (Used for marine) 40watts each
-2x 6500 30watts each.
-Tank volume = 170 gallons , 7000 litres.
-Total watts = 140 watts.
-Chiller Resun 450
-2.5 litre co2 system.
-3 inch soil with fertilizer in the middle.

Any advice????

the general guide is 2-3 watts/gallon. so your lights should at least 340 watts.

it depends on the types of plants that you are growing. if you have plants that require bright lights, then you could be looking at > 3 watts/gallon.

as your tank is 2.5' deep, you may require mh lights. normal fl/pl tubes may not have sufficient intensity to reach the substrate surface.

for planted tanks, you should be using 6500k lights.
