Hey Mamashrimps, need your advise, are there 2 types of Rotala Sp Goias? I saw those in one of the LFS are reddish orange, whereas my is more purplish tint.
I was googling and seem there are a variant that are purplish from the pics. Do you think is the growing condition or is it a variant?
The purple pinkish ones are rotala rotundifolia. Goias are hard to come by and they are red and orange in color

Below are the Rotala Goias in my tank, the width are about 10-12mm pretty small as compare to those I saw in LFS (you can compare the size to the MC beside) and they are already crawling. I have 20 stalk of it and they are all the same size. Over the last few days, it seems the purple have faded a little.... Hmmm it's only in my tank for 1 week plus....... Not sure if the width is affected by tank condition of the oversea seller.

Let me know if you guys are selling any excesses.
Does this actually creep downwards while growing?
@realcaster : I read they need good amount of Calcium to grow well and color up.
They are suppose to grow like weep moss. ... I am still trying to propagate mine. When I actually get to trim, I can pass you some trimming![]()
Thanks Realcaster. Share how you make them read also!

Hi Frozen, it is very generous of you, if you can spare some trimmings, I would like to grow it beside mine to see if there are any difference. HP: 976344one8. Thank you.
Contacted you. Anyone wants can contact me at 9766zero77six.
Thank you.
TO get the plant to the desired coloration and growth its a combination of Proper light spectrum, amount of Co2 dosage, Right balance of fertilization and temperature. Iron (Fe) alone doesn't make the plant red. With the right equilibrium, Your red plants can be red even without additional supplement.
I doubt that.. With high levels of no3, most of the plants dont show good coloration..
Anyone has some of this plant to sell/spare? Thinking of trying this for my newly scaped tank.
