CO2 is the rice, if you understand what i mean.

If you really want to keep CO2less tank, its probably moss etc. But no plants will look optimum in a artificial environment without minimal nutrients.

I sent this tank up for ADA, it was one of my home tank (from 04, cant remember)? No special care taken and I think, is not a typical ADA top 100 tank. Lucky if i can get 400-500, .

I like the Hornwort. I am trying some in my tank, I think you will do well in the ADA contest.

    thanks for the kind words

Gosh, you like only the hornwort? They are just floating there! I actually had them due to some algae problem, but they look pretty red and nice, therefore, i included them in the photos.

thanks. Mine are all ferns tank though.

I've always wanted to do something amano style, but just could stick to 1 or 2 plant in my tank. I will just stick in some other thing after 2 days.

    Hi Roland

Beautifull plants - I enjoy very much these kinds of plants too

Do you noticed any kind of difference in growing pattern of the mics in a high light or a low light tank (or even in regions with more/less light)?

BTW, have you seem/met/have the Microsorum pteropus "narrow red", or Duet (Iīve never seem a single pic of them)

    Regards,

    Livio

The java ferns in low light setting (no co2?) are usually not as (light) green and beautiful as compare to one in a high/mid light, co2 and fertilized tank. Personally, i think the bubbles underneath java ferns is a much more impressive and satifsfying sight then looking at riccia.

Narrow red? That's something new to me. I know Narrow and Red as 2 difference species. Do you have any photos or pictures of it?

Sorry, I forgot to mention, CO2 injection in both cases, difference only in the amount of light

Well, About this "Narrow red", I wonder is some kind of legend, since neither I find anything about it too

Another varieties I canīt get any info is about the Microsorum "Duet" and "undulata" - never seem, just heard about it

    Thanks for the fast answer

    Livio
