Anyone Keep North American Natives ?

One of my hobbys after i grew bored with normal aquarium pets was keeping North American Fishes, joined NANFA the whole ball of wax, and found that the completely different situation kind of gave me a shot in the arm, and reignited my interest.

One of my favorites was the Darter family, tiny little fishes, they are located in almost every state in the USA, and are easily caught yourself and cared for.

I have recently and in the past, though some fish are not native to my SW Idaho. My most recent was our redside shiner, a common cold water fish, that survived a hot summer inside, three managed to live months of 80F highs. I finally had to find a new home as they, not aggressive, did insure the platy fry were consumed forth with.<a href="http://s1049.photobucket.com/user/lv2crp/media/015_zpsm1pqnhbs.jpg.html" target="_blank"><img src="http://i1049.photobucket.com/albums/s392/lv2crp/015_zpsm1pqnhbs.jpg" border="0" alt=" photo 015_zpsm1pqnhbs.jpg"/></a>
A pretty fish, someday I'd like a full native tank, but would have to use a chiller I am sure.
