burnt marks? as in brownish along the edges? I doubt its burnt, unless the tenellus is on the surface. show us a pic

Searched the forum but found no conclusion to why E Tennelus gets burn marks. Is it due to over dosing of neutrients or too much light? Or is there something else?

The "burnt" marks are blackened leaves as shown in photo. Nowhere near the light, so not burnt literally. Getting more of it.

Seems like low NO3 to me. Add more KNO3..

Mmmmmmm....maybe a close up picture of the affected leave is needed. Some parts looks like the plant cannibalizing itself (low NO3) whereas some parts is plain dark and hairy?

Did you dose any KNO3 before that? What is your normal fertilization regime? CO2 level?

I just want to find out what you have been doing. If you did not dose NO3 and the NO3 level is so high, your plants must be stunted due to some reasons. It may likely be lack of CO2, or it could be K also.

Measured before dosing KNO3. Have not check my Kh for a while, since I run out of test kit. Getting over weekend. As for CO2, its 6-8 bps and pH is at 6.9 pH.
Have not cleaned my filter for 2 months, could it be ....

OK, measured the Kh ... its 3. Would dosing KNO3 increase the NO3?
Your CO2 is on the low side. Aim for pH 6.5 with KH 3. Maintain that throughout the photoperiod. Your bubble rate is quite high. You might be losing CO2 due to some surface turbulence.

Some of the E.tenellus showing reddish leaves which usually appear under brighter lights. See if those ET in the shades are better? The Blyxa at the background looks very healthy though.
How are you dosing on the macro-nutrients N,P,K?

Take a plantlet out and check. Is it really algae? Most algae can be removed by rubbing, or you can actually feel another layer of flim-like substance.
It cannot be literally burn marks, since E.Tennellus isn't typically planted on the upper layers of a tank. I suspect either algae, or rotting. Either way, it's a lighting/Co2 and fert imbalance in your tank.
Nope, it is not burn. Your tennelllus is infested with BBA.
Maybe excessive light and lack of CO2 in your tank.
