    HC and lapis sand from Teo

    rocks from CF

    JBJ base fert from C328 in case HC cannot make it

    tank from my own.with black oyama

    packet of base fert.btw...anyone tried before to open the JBJ base fert tub?
    damn difficult sia!

    laying of base fert....always have a plan B

    positioning of rocks...

    wider view.tink the rocks not enuff...hmm...

    filling up the tank with water slowly from hose

    HC added...after few hrs..i got this..

    muahaha..nahh..just joking.

    nice journal.

    perhaps you can get a few more rocks, and put them closer. The gap is a little on the wide side. Its also pretty empty considering only the few small rocks and all HC.

    Check out chan's rock. Amano uses that in his scapes as well.

    yah...hehe...abit bare...but i wanted to see more of the HC ...perhaps going to get a few more rocks this weekend.

    I not sure, but when you start off with so little of the relatively slow growing HC, isn't there a big risk of algae outbreak? I think you should consider throwing in some fast growers.

    somehow i do agree with crandf, you can consider putting hygrophilla difformis. you dun have to plant it in. just let it floats around it will be good enough to prevent the algae outbreak.
    good fertilisation also needed for this plants ... gd luck!
