    hi all,

    I have been thinking of upgrading to a bigger tank (5ft - preferred choice or 4 ft in length); My current one is 3 x 1.5x 1.5 ft and I stay in HDB, on the high floor at a corner unit; Need advise from bros who have did similar upgrading task before;

    question:
    a) what is the max size of the tank that I can moved into my flat, without me dismantagling my main door, or "damaging the lift" or the tank?

    b) what is the standard dimension of 4ft or 5ft tank?

    c) Any recommendation of tank supplier and the price? And is 5 ft tank stand easily available from the LFS. Personally, I dislike the idea of having tank cabinet;

    d) I am thinking of re-using my Resun 450 chiller, is it powerful enough for a 5ft tank?

    e) For Co2, is there a need to have a splitter,and implement 2 co2 diffuser to ensure even distribution;

    f) what is the typical cost of a 5ft PL light set?

    appreciate your help

    a) Take measurement of your lift door and your house door too. This will be the width of your tank. If in doubt, minus off an inch or two or maybe three. The height of the lift door is the length of your tank.

    b)It doesn't need to be standard.

    c)I have only tried Nature Aquarium tank for my custom 2ft cabinet shrimp tank. The others were bought 'off the shelves'. Tank cabinet are better in a sense that you have storage space for your filter and fish food and some other aquatic tools.

    d)No idea.

    e)Nope. Get an external reactor like the ones sold by Nature Aquarium. Adequate for a large tank. If you are using canister filter, the output from the canister would be attached to this co2 reactor.

    f)No idea. You can check the price if you happen to visit Nature Aquarium.

    FYI, I do not have any connection whatsoever with Nature Aquarium. My replies are through my own personal experience only. Hope this helps!
