Here's my recent 2 ft rescape effort, trying to get the serene mysterious look like the Amano tank
    Something seems missing, what's it?

Pardon the quality, I'm not like the pros here
There's plantings of Ranalisma Rostrata ( somewhat like E.Tennellus ) in the foreground washed out by the light.

This is the tank that inspired me.

    Thanks!

    wheres the rock and moss?

Lower the wood on the 2 corners and bring them a little forward. Put more crypts. By putting wood against the side glass, you are effectively cutting off some imaginative space and reflected visual space (If you want something like pic 2).

The RR? infront seems to be "eaten" up by the gravel, you need some little more contrast to bring it into the picture. Maybe some rocks to connect the foreground to the background wood. The color is too contrasting now.

Aye, I'll try out the shifting tommorrow morning. Thanks!

Haha, yea you can't really see it in the picture, it's the way I took the pic. The green can be easily seen actually. Maybe a little imagination... but it will still look too contrasting? Good rocks were hard to find, so I got driftwood instead. If I were to get rocks, they would be the smooth black type ( River rocks )?

If I could get a sizeable quantity, I might even remove the driftwood instead of using rocks to "support" the scape.
