    Hey guys,

Is there a link with 'transparent' leaves with lack of macro nutrients?

My water temperature and pH are within good parameters. Some of my leaves are turning transparent (losing the leaf matter, if you understand what i mean) recently. i haven't added any macro nutrients, only the bottled supplements occasionally. All other plants are growing well.

Could it be the pleco I added in recently? Hmmm....???

Would gladly listen to any advice!

What plants are those? Did you just add them in? The pleco could be the cause of all this if it's a pleco other than the bristle-nose pleco.

If those transparent leaves are from mostly on fast growers, then its macros are lacking.

    Not good with scientific names.

Eh, its a 'normal' pleco, supposed to clean my glass for me...

The plants ah? hmm... those valli....(the lalang type, some are the curly lalang) quite fast growers i suppose.

    what do you think?

Vallis are quite fast growers... you need either a rich base substrate, or start dosing liquid macros and micros along with C02 injection if you want them to flourish. If you just want them to survive, increase your dosage of the supplement.
