Eheim 2215 - Advice seeked

Hi, I was doing some cleaning on my 2.5yrs old Eheim 2215, and for some reason, I decided to pry open the cover to see if there is anything amiss with regards to the flowrate (not the propeller). For those who done it before, it is quite difficult and I used a testpen to pry it open. Upon opening, all that I saw was a motorhead and then 2 rings dropped out. One is a ceramic and the other is a rubber ring, both are about 1cm in diameter....Now i'm all confused as to where I am supposed to put these 2 rings... Are they supposed to be inside the outflow valve and if so, what sequence? Can't seem to find any info on the internet pertaining to his issue.

Did you pry open where we are not suppose to open? Photos will help greatly.
