This tank was previously a low tech tank. Was keeping nanas and ferns but was a bit bored due to the slow growth in tank thus changed it to a high tech setup.

1st time trying to grow a carpet but not sure if I will be successful with hc. Currently they are in the melting stage, everyday trying to push back the hc that are uprooted by my strong current from the filter. Just bought dolphine h80 to standby incase I wanna swop out the cannister. Can anyone also help to I'd the left and right corner stem plants?

Currently the tank is experiencing some brownish hair algae look a like thingy. Hope as the plants grow, they will go away.

I have no planted tank experience prior to this. Did some reading of forum and seeing other people's setup and with guidance of a friend. No eye for nice scape also thus ended up with this. Any advice is welcome!
